All requirements are applicable to such wire, strand, and bars unless specifically stated otherwise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span>1.2 Wire<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span>This Standard covers uncoated stress\u00acrelieved and low-relaxation round high-carbon steel wire for use in prestressed concrete construction in button-head-type (cold-end-deformation) and wedge-type anchorage. The use of quenched and tempered wire shall not be permitted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span>1.3 Strand<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span>This Standard covers seven-wire, uncoated, stress-relieved and low-relaxation steel strand for use in pre-tensioned and post-tensioned pre-stressed concrete construction. The use of quenched and tempered wire shall not be permitted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span>1.4 Bars<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span><span>?<\/span>This Standard covers plain or deformed high-tensile strength alloy bars having a nominal diameter greater than 9 mm. The use of quenched and tempered bars shall not be permitted.
