The points are at the plate centre and in the<br \/>\nmiddle of both the short and long sides. The method also gives the<br \/>\nstress in the stringer. To ease the use of the method, graphs are<br \/>\ngiven of two parameters required in a simple estimation equation.<br \/>\nPredictions are compared with results of tests from a number of<br \/>\nsources for both built-up and integrally-machined panels.
