At the solid-state lighting<br \/>\n(SSL) system level such as LED lamps, light<br \/>\nengines, and luminaires, other system components,<br \/>\nin addition to the LED light sources, also contribute<br \/>\nto luminous flux decay and color change over time.<br \/>\nThe system performance changes over time can be<br \/>\ndirectly tested at the SSL product level. This document<br \/>\naddresses the evaluation of the changes in<br \/>\nperformance of SSL systems over time and can be a<br \/>\nuseful tool for engineering evaluations and luminous<br \/>\nflux maintenance for entire assemblies when environmental<br \/>\nconsiderations and variability for the base<br \/>\nLED deprecation is incorporated into the analysis.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, performances of SSL systems, LED<br \/>\nintegrated lamps, non-integrated lamps, LED light<br \/>\nengines, and LED luminaires, are typically but not<br \/>\nwithout exception affected by operational and environmental<br \/>\nvariables such as operating cycle, conditions<br \/>\nimposed by auxiliary equipment and fixtures,<br \/>\nambient temperature, airflow and orientation.
