In addition, Part 301 introduces the concept<br \/>\nof communications subprofiles. These subprofiles are used as<br \/>\nbuilding blocks to define the CDPD Network element communications<br \/>\nprofiles.<\/p>\n<p>The CDPD Network subprofiles are classified into:<\/p>\n<p>a. Application subprofiles<\/p>\n<p>b. Lower layer subprofiles<\/p>\n<p>c. Subnetwork subprofiles.<\/p>\n<p>In Part 310, the CDPD Application subprofiles are specified.<br \/>\nThese include the CDPD Support Services subprofiles and the CDPD<br \/>\nApplication Services subprofiles. The CDPD Support Services<br \/>\nsubprofiles include:<\/p>\n<p>a. Network Management Services subprofile<\/p>\n<p>b. Message Transfer Services Reliable Transfer subprofile<\/p>\n<p>c. Message Transfer Services Reliable Access subprofile<\/p>\n<p>d. Accounting Services subprofile.<\/p>\n<p>The CDPD Application Services subprofiles include:<\/p>\n<p>a. Network Management (M-ES) Services subprofile.<\/p>\n<p>Part 311 specifies the CDPD Lower Layer subprofiles. These<br \/>\ninclude:<\/p>\n<p>a. ISO connection-oriented transport service-connectionless<br \/>\nnetwork service subprofile<\/p>\n<p>b. Internet connectionless transport service-connectionless<br \/>\nnetwork service subprofile<\/p>\n<p>c. Internet connection-oriented transport service-connectionless<br \/>\nnetwork service subprofile<\/p>\n<p>d. Connectionless network service-relay subprofile<\/p>\n<p>e. CDPD mobile connectionless network service-relay<br \/>\nsubprofile<\/p>\n<p>f. M-ES ISO CLNS subprofile<\/p>\n<p>g. M-ES Internet CLNS subprofile<\/p>\n<p>h. Fixed End System (F-ES) ISO CLNS subprofile<\/p>\n<p>i. F-ES Internet CLNS subprofile.<\/p>\n<p>Part 312 specifies the CDPD subnetwork subprofiles. These<br \/>\ninclude:<\/p>\n<p>a. X.25 WAN subnetwork subprofile<\/p>\n<p>b. PVC Frame Relay subnetwork subprofile<\/p>\n<p>c. Point-to-point subnetwork subprofile<\/p>\n<p>d. LAN subnetwork subprofile<\/p>\n<p>e. CDPD Channel Stream subnetwork subprofile<\/p>\n<p>f.
