The scope of the code of practice no longer covers door leaves of any material and is now limited to timber-based door leaves. However, the scope continues to cover timber-based door leaves when hung in frames of any material. There is a new limitation that the code of practice does not cover impact safety of glazing, for which recommendations are given in BS 6262 4, and it does not include doorsets, which are covered in BS EN 16034.
