BS ISO 20730-3. Road vehicles. Vehicle interface for electronic Periodic Technical Inspection (ePTI) – Part 3. Data definitions
Published By | Publication Date | Number of Pages |
BSI | 2020 | 51 |
This document specifies ePTI-relevant system identifiers, data identifiers, routine identifiers, input/output control identifiers, data types, CompuMethods (computations), and units.
This document will be updated on an as needed basis. New editions may be based on
-
new ePTI-relevant system technology designed into the vehicles,
-
new or more effective ePTI test methods, which would require additional test data, routines or input/output controls,
-
new regulations established by legislators, which require the fulfilment of test methods, specific for a standardized safety level of ePTI-relevant systems.
Values reported by the vehicle shall meet the scaling (CompuMethod) defined in this document.
The accuracy of the sensor values might have a different resolution.
The present document describes ePTI systems’ data definitions and associated technical requirements. The technical requirements of data definitions of emissions-related systems are specified in other standards e.g. ISO 15031, ISO 27145, and SAE J1979DA. Other environmental systems’ ePTI use cases and technical requirements may be considered in the future.
This document defines:
-
standardized identifiers for ePTI-relevant systems,
-
standardized data identifiers applicable to ePTI-relevant systems,
-
standardized routine identifiers applicable to ePTI-relevant systems,
-
standardized input/output control identifiers applicable to ePTI-relevant systems, and
-
standardized scaling/CompuMethods (computations) applicable to ePTI-relevant systems.
This standard does not specify any type of test method or pass/fail criteria of the ePTI-relevant system during a PTI.
The ePTI system list defined in this document summarises ePTI-relevant systems and specifies a defined name (system), a unique identifier (ePTI system identifier) and a description for each ePTI-relevant system.
