This standard deals with the assessment of the time and error behaviour of wireless communication systems in applications of industrial automation technology. The standard enables end users of radio communication systems in the field of automation technology to understand radio communication networks, to evaluate, compare, and select a solution suitable for the task in question. In addition, a uniform approach to coexistence management is supported by standardised tests.
