ESDU 19001 presents endurance data for wrought and cast titanium alloys and accompanies ESDU 19002 which gives endurance data for Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloys only. The results of over 3200 constant amplitude fatigue tests carried out on plain and notched specimens subjected to rotating-bending, plain-bending or axial loading are presented in the form of curves of alternating stress versus endurance. In this Data Item, the fatigue tests were carried out on commercially pure, alpha, beta and alpha + beta titanium alloys tested at room temperature and at elevated temperature in the high-cycle fatigue regime, that is at endurances of greater than 10 000 cycles until failure occured. The data are grouped according to alloy type, manufacturing process and other variables such as notch size and shape, heat treatment and surface condition.

Additionally, the data plotted in the figures presented in this Item are available in the accompanying Excel file, E1901v10.xlsx.
