This Standard specifies hot-rolled steels for building structure (hereafter referred to as "steel products").

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard is as follows.

ISO 24314: 2006 Structural steels-Structural steels for building with improved seismic resistance-Technical delivery conditions (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/lEC Guide 21-1.
