The method closely approximates the service conditions, including the temperature differential between the external and internal surfaces of the equipment, which may accelerate permeation of the lining by a corrosive media.<\/p>\n<p id=\"s00086\">1.2 This test may be used to simulate actual field use conditions insofar as a qualitative evaluation of the lining system after a predetermined period of exposure.<\/p>\n<p id=\"s1.3\">1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard.
