Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1<\/span> This test method covers a small-scale laboratory procedure to determine the aspiration potential of aerosol products by determining spray pattern and aerosol deposition rates.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.2<\/span> This test method has been developed to address a need to identify which aerosol products may present an aspiration risk such that special labeling and\/or child-resistant packaging would be appropriate. Studies based on this method may allow the development of a practice to identify such aerosol products.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

1.3<\/span> Although this method may be useful for testing non-pressurized aerosol products, its development has been limited to testing pressurized aerosols.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
