{"id":260631,"date":"2024-10-19T17:15:45","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T17:15:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-14399-82007\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T12:58:46","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T12:58:46","slug":"bs-en-14399-82007","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-14399-82007\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 14399-8:2007"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This document belongs to the suite of European Standards EN 14399 and is designed to be read in conjunction with EN 14399-1 for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>general requirements;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>testing for conformity evaluation;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>evaluation of conformity;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>regulatory marking;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>for assemblies of high-strength structural fit bolts and nuts of system HV suitable for preloaded joints with, thread sizes M12 to M36 and bolt property class 10.9 and EN 14399-2 for suitability testing.<\/p>\n<p>This part gives requirements for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>dimensions;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>associated washer(s) according to EN 14399-6;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>performance and suitability tests<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>for assemblies with thread sizes M12 to M36 and bolt property class 10.9.<\/p>\n<p>Assemblies of hexagon fit bolts with shaft diameter ( <i>d<\/i> + 1 mm) and nuts according to this part of this European Standard have been designed to allow preloading of at least 0,7 <i>f<\/i><sub>ub<\/sub> \u00d7 <i>A<\/i><sub>s<\/sub> <sup>1)<\/sup> according to EN 1993-1-8 (Eurocode 3) and to obtain ductility predominantly by deformation of the engaged thread.
