This part of ISO 12614<\/span><\/span> specifies general requirements and definitions of liquefied natural gas fuel system components, intended for use on the types of motor vehicles as defined in ISO 3833<\/span><\/span>. It also provides general design principles and specifies requirements for instructions and marking.<\/p>\n

This part of ISO 12614<\/span><\/span> is not applicable to the following:<\/p>\n

    fuel containers;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    stationary gas engines;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    container mounting hardware;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    electronic fuel management;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    fuelling receptacles.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    It is recognized that miscellaneous components, not specifically covered herein can be examined to meet the criteria of this part of ISO 12614<\/span><\/span> and tested according to the appropriate functional tests.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    All references to pressure in this part of ISO 12614<\/span><\/span> are to be considered gauge pressures unless otherwise specified.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    This part of ISO 12614<\/span><\/span> is based upon a working pressure for natural gas as fuel of 1,6 MPa [16 bar1<\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n

    1 bar = 0,1 MPa = 105 Pa; 1 MPa = 1 N\/mm2.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
