The terms are given by category: general, tools for removing and shaping material, tools for assembly work.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE&nbsp;1 The use of the terms \u201ctool\u201d and \u201cmachine\u201d can be confusing in the field of hydraulic powered tools. \u201cHydraulic tool\u201d is used for hand-held machines and \u201cfixed hydraulic tool\u201d for larger machines, often suspended or mounted on a carrier. However, the terms \u201ctool\u201d and \u201cbit\u201d are also used for the inserted drill, file, chisel, etc. that is fitted to the machine spindle. In order to differentiate between hydraulic tool and inserted tool, the term \u201cpower tool\u201d can be used for the former.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE&nbsp;2 Individual tools are usually designed to operate within a maximum specific flow category given by the European Hydraulic Tools Manufacturer Association (EHTMA).
