Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1<\/span> This specification covers silicone liquid for use in transformers, capacitors, and electronic assemblies as an insulating or cooling medium, or both.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.2<\/span> Silicone liquid covered by this specification is polydimethylsiloxane having a nominal viscosity of 50 mm2<\/sup>\/s at 25\u00b0C and a fire point of 340\u00b0C or greater. This specification applies only to new silicone liquid. Information on in-service maintenance testing is available in appropriate guides.2<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.3<\/span> The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
