Alternative methods for the determination of the geometry factors for pitting resistance and bending strength are given and worked examples are included. <\/p>\n<p><b>Scope<\/b><\/p>\n<p> This Standard provides guidelines on the design of spur, helical and double helical gears and gearboxes. It includes information on basic gear data, quality, measuring, and calculations of power rating.
