This procedure is generally applicable to all types of apparel fabrics including both woven and knitted fabrics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"desc\" id=\"N00001\"><span class=\"smallcap\">Note<\/span> 1For other test methods for the pilling resistance of textiles, refer to Test Methods D3512 , D3514 , and D4970 .<\/p>\n<p id=\"s000900\">1.2 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other.
