{"id":636218,"date":"2024-11-06T00:56:11","date_gmt":"2024-11-06T00:56:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/iso-iec-8859-61999\/"},"modified":"2024-11-06T00:56:11","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T00:56:11","slug":"iso-iec-8859-61999","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/iso\/iso-iec-8859-61999\/","title":{"rendered":"ISO\/IEC 8859-6:1999"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This part of ISO\/IEC 8859 specifies a set of 146<\/p>\n<p>coded graphic characters identified as Latin\/Arabic<\/p>\n<p>alphabet.<\/p>\n<p>This set of coded graphic characters is intended for<\/p>\n<p>use in data and text processing applications and<\/p>\n<p>also for information interchange.<\/p>\n<p>The set contains graphic characters used for<\/p>\n<p>general purpose applications in typical office<\/p>\n<p>environments in at least the following languages:<\/p>\n<p>Arabic, English and Latin.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the characters in this set are combining<\/p>\n<p>characters (see clause 6).<\/p>\n<p>This set of coded graphic characters may be<\/p>\n<p>regarded as a version of an 8-bit code according to<\/p>\n<p>ISO\/IEC 2022 or ISO\/IEC 4873 at level 1.<\/p>\n<p>This part of ISO\/IEC 8859 may not be used in<\/p>\n<p>conjunction with any other parts of ISO\/IEC 8859.<\/p>\n<p>If coded characters from more than one part are to<\/p>\n<p>be used together, by means of code extension<\/p>\n<p>techniques, the equivalent coded character sets<\/p>\n<p>from ISO\/IEC 10367 should be used instead within<\/p>\n<p>a version of ISO\/IEC 4873 at level 2 or level 3.<\/p>\n<p>The coded characters in this set may be used in<\/p>\n<p>conjunction with coded control functions selected<\/p>\n<p>from ISO\/IEC 6429. However, control functions are<\/p>\n<p>not used to create composite graphic symbols from<\/p>\n<p>two or more graphic characters (see clause 6).<\/p>\n<p><b>NOTE <\/b>? ISO\/IEC 8859 is not intended for use with<\/p>\n<p>Telematic services defined by ITU-T.
