The present document defines the Radio Frequency (RF)
\nrequirements for the Satellite Terminal (ST) transceiver of the
\nRegenerative Satellite Mesh – A (RSM-A); Air interface operating in
\nthe Fixed Satellite System (FSS) allocations at Ka-band as
\nfollows:<\/p>\n

\u2022 ST reception is in the Fixed Satellite Service (FSS) frequency
\nranges from 17,70 GHz to 19,70 GHz and from 19,70 GHz to 20,20
\nGHz;<\/p>\n

\u2022 ST transmission is in the frequency ranges allocated to FSS
\nfrom 27,50 GHz to 29,50 GHz and from 29,50 GHz to 30,00 GHz.<\/p>\n

Requirements are defined for two categories of parameters:<\/p>\n

\u2022 those that are required to provide compatibility between the
\nradio channels, connected either to separate or common antennas,
\nthat are used in the system. This category also includes parameters
\nproviding compatibility with existing systems in the same or
\nadjacent frequency bands;<\/p>\n

\u2022 those that define the transmission quality of the system.<\/p>\n

These requirements apply to all types of ST that transmit a
\nsingle modulated carrier, including STs with an antenna diameter
\ngreater than 1,8 m (or equivalent corresponding aperture).<\/p>\n

The technical requirements of the present document apply under
\nthe environmental profile for operation of the equipment, which
\nshall be declared by the manufacturer. The equipment shall comply
\nwith all the technical requirements of the present document at all
\ntimes when operating within the boundary limits of the declared
\noperational environmental profile.<\/p>\n

The environmental profile for operation of the equipment shall
\ninclude the ranges of humidity, temperature and supply voltage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
