It applies to buoyancy aids used by adults or children.<\/p>\n<p>This part of ISO 12402 is not applicable to one-piece suits.<\/p>\n<p id=\"i12402.5.1-1dv.1\"> <title>Modification by revising the first paragraph as follows:<\/title> <\/p>\n<p>This part specifies the safety requirements for buoyancy aids used in sheltered waters with help and rescue close at hand under such circumstances where more bulky or buoyant devices can impair the user\u2019s activity.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p id=\"i12402.5.1-1dv.2\"> <title>Addition of 1DV.2 to clause 1 as follows:<\/title> <\/p>\n<p>Where references are made to ISO 12402 standards, they shall be considered to be to UL 12402 with the applicable Canadian \/US National Differences where UL Standards exist.
