1 Scope<\/b><\/p>\n

1.1 These requirements apply to self-contained spas. They also apply to field-installed equipment assemblies, blowers, and controls for use with field-installed hot tubs, swimming pools, and non-self-contained spas. These products are for household or commercial use, indoors, outdoors, or both. All equipment is intended for installation and use in accordance with Article 680 of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70.<\/p>\n

1.2 These requirements also apply to field-installed accessories that have been investigated with the basic product.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n

1.3 These requirements do not apply to products covered by the following UL Standards:<\/p>\n

    a) \u00a0Underwater Luminaires and Submersible Junction Boxes, UL 676<\/b>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    b) \u00a0Swimming Pool Pumps, Filters, and Chlorinators, UL 1081<\/b>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    c) \u00a0Electric Water Heaters for Pools and Tubs, UL 1261<\/b>;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    d) \u00a0Personal Hygiene and Health Care Appliances, UL 1431<\/b> (professional hydrotherapy equipment \u2013 whirlpool bathtubs); and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n
