1.1 This test method covers the laboratory determination of the rate at which organotin expressed as tributyltin (TBT) is released from an antifouling (AF) coating in synthetic sea water using graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometry (GF-AAS). This does not exclude the use of other analytical methodology for measurement of organotin in sea water such as gas chromatography.<\/p>\n
