{"id":300419,"date":"2024-10-19T20:30:19","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T20:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-4359-21982\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T17:56:33","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T17:56:33","slug":"bs-4359-21982","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-4359-21982\/","title":{"rendered":"BS 4359-2:1982"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Part of this British Standard describes recommended methods for determining the permeability surface area of powders by measuring the resistance offered to the flow of air through a compacted bed of the powder.<\/p>\n<p>The methods are applicable to powders with permeability volume specific surfaces in the range 2 \u00d7 10<sup>4<\/sup> m<sup>2<\/sup>\/m<sup>3<\/sup> to 5 \u00d7 10<sup>7<\/sup> m<sup>2<\/sup>\/m<sup>3<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Four specific methods are described in appendices B to E.<\/p>\n<p>Use of the permeability methods is precluded when:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>agglomerates are not easily broken down (unless the specific surface area required is that of the agglomerated form);<\/li>\n<li>the particles fracture or undergo deformation when the powder bed is being compacted.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE.
