This Standard covers definitions of terms and features unique to casting, forging, and molded-part technologies with recommendations for their uniform specification on engineering drawings and related documents. Castings, forgings, and molded parts are delineated as \u201cpart\u201d or \u201cparts\u201d throughout the Standard. ASME Y14.8-2022 is a replacement of ASME Y14.8-2009.<\/p>\n
